command line MIDI to Wave converter and player TiMidity is an open source software synthesizer that can convert MIDI files to WAV audio files. It can also play MIDI files in real time if sufficient CPU power is available. On the limited iPhone hardware, the default rendering has been changed to mono channel at 44100 Hz, which is typically achievable in real time. TiMidity++ uses GUS/patch (Glavis Ultrasound) as the voice data to play. A minimum distribution consisting of 4.5 MB of sound data is included in this package.
